"Our home building experience with George Fuller Custom Homes has truly been second to none. 

 

We hired George to build our “dream” home after visiting one of his listings in Celina, the style and detail of which we loved, but not in an ideal location for us. 

 

I had so many ideas for this house, collected over 15 years, but had no idea how to incorporate my favorite ideas into a plan that would be functional AND highlight certain special details essential to bring to life this very old world period style home: Tudor-Jacobean English country.

 

It took only four, two to three-hour meetings between myself and George’s main architect, Kevin Dingman, and my collection of photographs, for Kevin to nail the perfect floor plan. Kevin told me he was so intrigued with my vision that he could scarcely stop working the plans. His creation blew me away and needed only very few minor revisions. Even the square footage was right on and I was concerned about that. He left out no detail.

Then George introduced us to his building supervisors, Austin and Toby. Two words really: pure class.  I was very nervous about my ability to translate the vision for the interior details of this unique project but after the very first meeting with them, I knew without doubt we were in very capable hands. 

 

They have been so patient and interested, they are extremely knowledgeable, always easily accessible and responsive. They ask you questions about detail after detail, never “assuming”.

This team of builders has a work ethic, second to none.  They take pride in their work and it shows. They know the building process inside and out, they have options for everything, they are open-minded, and their subcontractors are superb. The carpenters and masons are unbelievable.

 

Our home is full of period details not easy to recreate these days due sadly to lost artisans. They have given us extensive wall paneling after quarter sawn oak, gothic cabinet trim work, plaster tracery ceilings, custom wood staircase with gothic balusters, converted an antique gothic confessional seamlessly into a study entry, created two custom spiral staircases, converted antique cabinets into vanities, used brick and stone inside and out for fabulous support columns, wall decoration and the most gorgeous exterior Tudor detail I have seen as a new construction outside of 500 year old manor houses in England!

 

And all of it on a top of a hill in the middle of the woods in Aubrey, Texas.
